On 11 December 2023, we organised the second themed event of the Horticultural Joy series, the Micro Landscape Plant Bottle Workshop, where instructors from A Piece of Wood Leisure Farm taught members how to create their own micro landscape plant bottles.
Through this event, members gained insight into horticultural ecology and used their creativity to design unique eco-friendly plant bottles. The workshop saw active participation from members who asked questions eagerly, and the instructor provided careful guidance and encouraged members to boldly experiment, emphasising that “there are no failures in alcohol ink art”.
Members enjoyed the process, and each step in creating their plant bottles was a personal accomplishment. Every participant’s work had its distinct features and underlying ideas. Starting from an empty box, a complete ecological system emerged, leaving members satisfied and happy with their creations. Members could take their plant bottles home to continue nurturing them. The dedication and satisfaction displayed in each member’s work were remarkable.
